Dignity In Schools Campaign California invites you to participate in the 13th Annual National Week of Action Against School Pushout. The theme for this year is Building Schools Our Communities Deserve. Join us as DSC CA members and allies hold events and actions in California and across the country.

From October 8 to 16th, DSC CA members in more than 20 states will host events as part of our Week of Action Against School Pushout. Under the banner of  “Building Schools Our Communities Deserve,” local and community-based organizations will hold rallies, teach-ins, community forums, virtual rallies, lead marches, and more. We’re taking a stand against punitive zero-tolerance discipline policies and practices, and we’re calling for the end of police in schools.

One of the most important things we can do during this year’s Week of Action is to revisit and reflect on DSCCA’s “Never Again” Statement, written four years ago in response to the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in the Miami suburban town of Parkland, Florida.”

DSC CA partner, Organizing Roots, reflected on our “Never Again” statement and is sharing their reflection with us in the Backlash Blues: It’s Time to Revisit Our “Never Again” statement.
